There is a large volume of clothing produced today in fabrics chosen for cost rather than longevity, often without consideration for how they age or feel over time.

At Christina Hart, materials are selected at a slower pace, with attention given first to natural fibres and their relationship to the body. Cotton and silk are recurring choices, valued for their softness, breathability, and ability to biodegrade.

We try to avoid synthetic fabrics where possible. When they are used, preference is given to recycled alternatives rather than newly produced materials, chosen with the same level of consideration as natural fibres.

The process is not defined by perfection. It is defined by attention. Each material is assessed for how it behaves in wear, how it feels against the skin, and how it exists over time rather than at the point of purchase.

The intention is to create pieces that feel natural to wear, and remain relevant beyond their first use.

There is already an excess of clothing produced each year, often created at speed and without consideration for what remains after.

At Christina Hart, we choose a slower rhythm. We work in limited monthly releases, produced in small quantities and developed with care rather than scale.

Each piece is considered from the beginning of its life cycle. If there is demand, we revisit production. If not, the piece is not repeated. This allows us to remain intentional in what we make, avoiding unnecessary production and focusing on what is actually worn.

The process is kept close. Design and production are not separated by distance or scale. Decisions are made directly, through continuous refinement rather than mass repetition.

This approach also allows for movement. Each month becomes an opportunity to introduce new ideas, adjust silhouettes, and refine details. The result is a practice that remains flexible, but controlled.

It is a method defined by restraint rather than expansion, and by attention rather than volume.
